OUR STORY

About JourneyOne

JourneyOne’s own journey began in 2010 in Perth, Western Australia. After spending our early years in Spacecubed, Perth’s co-working and innovation hub, we’re now based in our own ‘J1 Hut’ in West Perth.

Calling our base a ‘hut’ rather than ‘head office’ is our culture in a nutshell: it doesn’t do our personalities or approaches justice to use traditional, process-oriented terms. JourneyOne was built up around principles, passion and a healthy dose of quirkiness. Our culture is steadfastly one of honesty, openness, humbleness, focus and community.

Our mission is to

Make Every Journey Remarkable

Our people

“J1ers” come from extensive backgrounds in business analysis, enterprise architecture, software development, change management, project management, and much more. However, we prefer not to box them in with traditional consulting titles. Often a business problem requires a multi-disciplinary approach, and this is what our people bring.

So, instead, we have Solutionisers, Drivers, Evangelists, Sherpas, Guides and more (we call these our Trek Roles). We delve into a client’s challenges, objectives and environment to gain a thorough understanding, then tailor our team formations accordingly.

Our community

The JourneyOne principle of caring for people extends to the wider community as well. We are proud to have supported several local, national and international charities over the years, including Heartkids, Heart Foundation, Telethon, Parkerville Children and Youth Care, and the Helping Hands Program.

This year, we’re supporting The Helping Foundation and Cows for Cambodia. We contribute funds and time on deck in Cambodia to help some of the world’s poorest families living near Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
