Actioners are practical, reliable and efficient. They take the ideas and make things happen, identifying and overcoming the pitfalls, gaps and problems along the way. Often coming from backgrounds in business and tech analysis, they excel at polishing and perfecting.
UX / UI Experts
UX and/or UI experts at JourneyOne are creative, adaptable and pragmatic, with sharp attention to detail. They are naturally empathetic and love talking to and learning from users, taking a firmly human-centred approach to everything they do.
Power Platform – Senior Developer
Our Power Platform Senior Developers work across all areas of technology delivery, including requirements gathering, solution design and development, testing and support. They work with our clients to create and support business applications, reports, and workflows with a Power Platform solution.
Power Platform – BA/QA Lead
The BA/QA Lead is responsible for identifying and modelling process and data requirements; creating user stories from business requirements; defining business rules; identifying test requirements; creating test cases; performing testing; and being the primary functional liaison to the technical development team.

Lead Developer
Our developers are superb problem solvers and keen learners. They thrive in collaborative environments, bouncing ideas off each other and keeping a finger on the latest and greatest technologies. With the team growing, we're currently looking for a Lead Developer to join us.
Actioners (Tech Analysts)
JourneyOne Technical Analysts are a cross between an Actioner and a Solutioniser. Often budding Solution Architects, they possess a blend of technology, business and agile delivery skills. They have a curiosity for technology and a desire to stay in touch with evolving technologies and their value to business.

Why I joined J1:
I wanted to be part of a team where the principles and values are demonstrated by the leadership, and where you can be authentic without being judged.
J1 is an organisation that truly places people at its core, this ultimately leads to remarkable outcomes for the clients and the team.
What I'm learning at the moment:
After 7 years of working on client sites, I have recently moved to the J1 Hut to work on strategic projects and work closely with our J1 community to progress initiatives that support and maintain our fantastic culture.
This change has given me the opportunity to learn more about our business operating model and strategic vision.
Personally, I have recently joined a community photography group so I am learning more about my camera and photography generally.
What makes my journey remarkable day-to-day:
It was working in an organisation that endeavours every day to do the right thing for its people and its clients.
Why I joined J1:
I joined J1 because I wanted to work somewhere that enabled me to solve problems, get my hands dirty and get things done, and work alongside great people doing quality work for interesting clients. I’m passionate about problem solving and J1 helps me do that.
What I'm learning at the moment:
I’m currently working my way through J1’s leadership learning trail. The opportunity to learn in a small group from J1’s experienced leaders has been invaluable. Their willingness to share their wealth of knowledge is fantastic and I can see myself applying the lessons I’ve learnt for the rest of my career. I also regularly spend time working through J1’s back catalogue of recorded learning sessions to refine my hard skills and introduce myself to new and emerging topics.
What makes my journey remarkable day-to-day:
J1’s laser focus on people's remarkability has allowed me to do what I need to do when I need to do it. I split my working time between J1 and a local youth justice-focused charity called Hello Initiative. This often requires a lot of flexibility and J1 has never once told me that I can’t do something that I need to do. The leaders at J1 place so much faith in your ability that they trust you to manage your own time, however, works best for you as long as you keep on delivering. Without this trust, I wouldn’t be able to make it work at both organisations. The ability to pursue my interests while working at J1 makes my day-to-day remarkable.
Why I joined J1:
I joined JourneyOne as a graduate developer straight out of university. I happened to apply for a position at JourneyOne in my job hunt after graduating. It was only after looking into the company before the interview that I realized they did things a bit differently... It was after that interview I was sold. Not only was it clear that delivering to their clients was a core principle, but the emphasis on personal journeys and self-improvement was outstanding.
What I'm learning at the moment:
I've recently moved on from my role as a junior developer into more senior roles, requiring me to support other developers. My current personal journey is learning effective methods to help developers reach their goals and turn vague requirements into technical implementations.
What makes my journey remarkable day-to-day:
JourneyOne has managed to put me on jobs where I'm not just keeping the lights on. I'm always working on something exciting that requires me to step out of my comfort zone and learn new things to provide the optimal solution for the client. That is what makes the journey remarkable for me.
Why I joined J1:
I joined J1 because the leadership team genuinely cares for their people and their professional journey. Moreover, I felt like they would above and beyond to support my transition from Banking to Technology consulting.
What I'm learning at the moment:
I've been using my experience as a Scrum Master to sit for the Professional Scrum Master - II Certification. My current journey has really helped me embed agile ways of working and leading a large organisation transition. The certification is highly regarded and is based on experience-based learning. I'm excited to continue working on increasing my skillset as a Scrum Master.
What makes my journey remarkable day-to-day:
I'm working with great people each day and despite being away at a client site for most of the year, I've been well-supported and help has never been far away.
