In line with our principle of Creating Everlasting Sustainability, we are active supporters of WA’s vibrant professional, educational, and charitable communities.
JourneyOne plays a key role in sponsoring and co-organising two of Perth’s largest and most well-attended meetup communities.
Digital Transformation Perth
Digital Transformation Perth is a multi-disciplinary group that comes together to share ideas on transformation, discuss lessons learned, and brainstorm on how to bring about effective change in our organisations. Events are free and take place approximately every 6 weeks.
Join the group on Meetup and follow them on LinkedIn to stay in the loop with their upcoming events.
Perth AWS User Group
This AWS User Group is our local chapter of Amazon Web Services (AWS) enthusiasts, committed to sharing their experiences with the AWS platform. Along with several other Perth technology organisations, we run this community for the interest and growth of aspiring, emerging and seasoned users of AWS.

Over the years, we have proudly supported some of Perth’s biggest tech events, including UX Camp, DDD Perth, the WA IT Leadership Summit, and the Public Sector Network’s WA Government Innovation Showcase.
In 2024, we are proud to be sponsoring:
Women in Technology WA Tech [+] Awards
8 Nov 2024
Women in Technology WA is a not-for-profit organisation providing a framework for women in technology to extend their network and expand their knowledge on a broad range of professional topics. Their annual awards embody their philosophy of “If you can see her, you can be her”, designed to showcase and recognise the achievements of women in WA, and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
In 2024, JourneyOne is sponsoring the Architecture, Development & QA Trophy.
JourneyOne is passionate about the development of the next generation of business and technology experts. If we want Australia to keep going from strength to strength, we need to ensure that our education system prepares students for the workplace to the best of its ability.
To play our part, we regularly engage with WA universities through guest lecturing, mentoring, and running workshops.
In 2024, we are proud to sponsor UWA’s Programming Competition Society. In addition, we regularly collaborate with Coders for Causes, running workshops on Docker, Test-Driven Design, and more.
Following the success of several guest lectures delivered by J1ers across ECU and UWA in 2023, we look forward to continuing our contribution to postgraduate curricula in 2024. Our past guest lectures have covered enterprise architecture, strategy, and capability-based planning, but our people’s expertise extends even further beyond these subject areas into human-centred design, agile ways of working, product management, software development, change management, UX design, leadership, and more.
Community Giving
Our community engagement extends beyond professional and academic spheres. Each year, we invite J1ers to nominate and champion a charity close to their hearts, then rally behind the chosen cause to help raise funds and awareness, as well as contributing time and hands-on effort when the opportunity is there.
In 2024, we are supporting Hello Initiative and the Leukaemia Foundation.
